Yadava Dynasty

Yadava Dynasty
The Yadavas of Deogir emerged as local rulers in their own right only in the late 12th century. Before that, they were there as understudies of the western Chaulukyas. The Yadava ruler Bilhala III, who asserted his independence in 1185, may be regarded as the founder of dynasty that ruled from Deogir until 1317. The Ya-davas were uprooted in that year by 'Ala al-Din Khalji's general Malik Khafur.
